How to batch download videos as MP4

Published:

To batch download videos as MP4, collect individual video links, paste them one per line or import a TXT file, start the batch, and save each ready file. This walkthrough shows how to prepare a small list, follow its progress, and check that the files reached your device.

Use videos you own or have permission to download. The tool accepts supported YouTube, Instagram and TikTok link formats, but source access determines whether processing succeeds. TikTok downloads currently face regional availability restrictions. Check the current platform status before including them.

What should I prepare before starting?

Prepare up to 10 distinct, publicly accessible video links and a folder for the files you want to keep. Each video must be no longer than 10 minutes, and each output file must fit within 100 MiB.

Copy the share link for each individual video. A channel, profile or playlist does not expand into a list of videos. For Instagram, use a Reel or a post containing one video; Stories, photos and carousels are not supported. The YouTube, Instagram and TikTok pages explain their accepted links.

For your own YouTube uploads, also consider the official export options: YouTube documents individual downloads through Studio and an export of your uploads through Google Takeout in its own-video download guide.

How do I turn a video link list into MP4 files?

Use the five steps below. No account is required on this website, but JavaScript and this site's cookies must be enabled to submit and retrieve tasks.

  1. Put one video link on each line

Paste your list directly into the batch tool, or save it as a UTF-8 plain-text file such as my-video-links.txt. A Word document or spreadsheet is not a TXT file.

This is a format example only: the identifiers are placeholders, not supplied download samples. Replace them with your own permitted links.

  2. Import the list and check the count

Open the batch download tool and choose Import .txt, or paste into Video links, one per line. Files up to 64 KiB are read locally in your browser; the listed links are submitted when you start.

Blank lines, whole-line # comments and exact duplicate links are ignored. Different share addresses for the same video may still count separately. Check the displayed count and split lists above 10 links before continuing.

  3. Choose quality and start

Choose a Maximum quality setting and confirm your download rights. Auto (up to 1080p) is a ceiling, not a quality upgrade; the source determines the result. Batch mode produces MP4. Use the single-link tool if you need MP3.

Select Start batch download once. Each session can submit one batch every 10 minutes, after its current tasks finish. Wait for the response before deciding whether another submission is needed.

  4. Follow each item's progress

Valid items are processed in order. A failed item displays a reason while the remaining items continue. The summary separates ready, failed and cancelled results; a processed item is not necessarily a ready file.

Keep the tab available. If automatic checks pause, choose Check status again. Closing the page does not cancel server processing. Use Cancel remaining if you want to stop unfinished work.

  5. Save and open every ready MP4

Click Save MP4 beside each ready item. You can do this before the whole batch finishes. Files are saved separately, without a ZIP archive, and must be saved within 1 hour of becoming ready.

Confirm the browser download has completed, then open the file. Check that it is the intended video and that picture and available audio play correctly. A ready server result alone does not mean the file is on your device.

How should I check a batch with mixed results?

Compare the results against your original list, then save the ready files before investigating failures. The following is a hypothetical three-link example, not a recorded download test.

  • Link 1 is ready: save its MP4 and check playback.
  • Link 2 failed because its source is unavailable: record the reason and check the original page. Repeating the request will not remove an access restriction.
  • Link 3 is ready: save this file too; the earlier failure does not make it unusable.

A summary of three processed, two ready and one failed means two downloadable files. It does not mean three files were saved. If the failed source later becomes accessible, retry that link when submissions are allowed; there is no need to process the two saved videos again.

What should I do if importing, processing or saving fails?

The list will not submit
Check the displayed message, link count, rights checkbox and service availability. TXT imports have a 64 KiB limit. If the list is still too large to submit, shorten it and try a smaller batch. Invalid or unsupported links can appear as failed items after a batch is accepted.
A video exceeds the limits
Choose a shorter source if it exceeds 10 minutes. Lower quality may help an output fit within 100 MiB, but it cannot shorten a video or restore an inaccessible source.
The source needs login or is region restricted
This service cannot bypass login, paywalls or access restrictions. TikTok is currently affected by regional availability. Save other ready items and read the platform status.
I refreshed or closed the page
Reloading the same tab can restore the latest batch while its cookies and session data remain. Recovery is not guaranteed after closing the tab, clearing data or changing browsers. If a file has expired, it needs a new permitted submission.

How do I know my batch is finished?

Finish by checking both the task results and the files on your device:

  • Every listed item has a result, or you have confirmed cancellation.
  • Every wanted ready file has been saved before its expiry.
  • You have opened the saved files and noted any failed links separately.

On iPhone or iPad, check the Files app's Downloads folder or Safari's downloads list; see Apple's download-location guide. On Android, use Chrome's Downloads list or the Files app; see Chrome's download guide.
