Quality selection is being integrated: 360p, 480p, 540p, 720p (HD) and 1080p (Full HD). Actual output depends on the source; low-resolution video will not be upscaled and labelled HD. Video resolution does not apply to MP3.

  1. Open the YouTube video or Short you have permission to download and check that it is no longer than 600 seconds (10 minutes). If it is your own upload, consider the official export option below first.
  2. Use Share → Copy link, or copy the individual video’s browser address. A watch URL from a playlist may contain a list parameter and is rejected. Open the individual video to obtain its standalone share link, rather than copying a channel.
  3. Choose MP4 to keep the picture or MP3 for the available audio track only. Confirm your rights and submit only when the service is open. Follow error and readiness states; a progress display does not guarantee an available format.

These are format placeholder examples. The 11-character video identifier is not a verified or authorized sample and should not be used as a download test.

Playlists, watch links containing a list parameter, Live streams, channels or profiles, and bulk downloads are explicitly rejected. A correctly shaped watch URL still fails if its actual content is live or upcoming. An accepted entry point is not approval of the content type.

Why can playback work without a downloadable format?

What does format_unavailable mean?

The player may use a media delivery method this processor does not accept. Only available progressive HTTP(S) files are selected, combined or separate video/audio as available. HLS, segmented DASH and SABR-only sources without a usable direct format fail; there is no fragment or manifest-download fallback. Shorts are not exempt from these rules.

Can login, age or region restrictions be bypassed?

No. Content requiring login, age verification, region access, membership or payment may not be processable. Account cookies are not accepted and DRM is not bypassed. Even public videos can be restricted from the server’s network.

Does MP3 allow longer videos or improve sound quality?

No. The 600-second and 100 MiB limits still apply. MP3 needs an available audio track and cannot create missing sound or improve original audio quality. MP4 keeps the picture, with audio depending on the source; conversion does not promise 4K or greater detail.

Your own uploads, offline viewing and local saving

For your own uploads, first check the official YouTube video-download instructions. Those instructions have eligibility conditions and do not grant permission to download arbitrary third-party works. In-app offline viewing is not the same as a freely exportable MP4 file.

Once a file here is ready, select Save file and finish downloading within up to 1 hour. On a computer, check the browser download folder; on Android, check Downloads; on iPhone/iPad, check Files. Files are not guaranteed to appear automatically in Photos. Check playback after saving; MP3 has no picture by design.

No per-format download record from the target server is available. Accepting a link, reading a title or passing a component test is not proof of a downloaded video. See all six platform/format evidence cells.

  • The file limit is 100 MiB and the media limit is 600 seconds (10 minutes). Choosing MP3 does not bypass the duration limit.
  • Once ready, a file is downloadable for up to 1 hour. It is unavailable after expiry; background cleanup still depends on the worker running. Read the retention policy.
  • Only available progressive HTTP(S) media is selected. HLS, segmented DASH or SABR-only sources without an available direct format fail with format_unavailable; there is no manifest or fragment-download fallback.

Submit only content you own or have permission to download, and check platform permissions, terms and local law. Public visibility, short duration or personal use does not automatically grant download or redistribution rights. Rights checks & feedback.

An explicit service-closed or queue-full rejection preserves your input for a later manual retry. Do not resubmit an unknown result. Cancellation still needs time for processing to stop; closing the page does not cancel a task. Task states & troubleshooting.
