Check your rights before saving

Public visibility is not permission to download or redistribute. Use this tool only if you own the work or have the relevant permission. Ticking a checkbox does not replace that permission.

Check three things before downloading

  1. Ownership: confirm that you hold the rights or have identified someone who can grant download permission.
  2. Scope of use: personal saving, editing, public reposting and commercial use may require different permissions.
  3. Conditions: check attribution, licence duration, territory, restrictions on modifications and the original platform's terms.

If unsure, ask the rights holder or use a lawful saving feature provided by the original platform. This service does not bypass payment, login or DRM, and processing does not obtain rights on your behalf.

How can a rights holder report an issue?

Use Contact & feedback to describe a specific concern. To help with review, include:

  • A description of the work, its original source and the specific public URL. Mention site task information if you have it.
  • Your relationship to the work, verifiable ownership information and the issue you are reporting.
  • The action you are requesting. An email address is optional if further contact is needed.

Do not include identity documents, passwords or unrelated sensitive information in an initial report. Provide only what is necessary if additional verification is needed.

What happens after submission?

The form saves the information to a review queue. It does not automatically send an email or mean the complaint has been reviewed. No fixed response time or outcome is promised.

Short-lived media storage does not automatically resolve copyright concerns. See the privacy notice for data handling. This page is not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
