Copy a link from an Instagram Reel or post
- Open the specific Reel or post containing one video, and confirm that you own it or have permission to download. Do not copy a profile URL.
- Look for Copy link in the share menu or more options; menus vary by app version. On the web, open the individual item and copy the address bar. Paste only the URL, never a password, verification code or account cookie.
- Choose MP4 for the Reel’s picture or MP3 for its available audio track. Confirm your permission and submit only when the service is open. Follow the task status; passing a link-format check is not a completed download.
p, reel, reels and tv are entry points, not guarantees
These are format placeholder examples with no authorized download test attached. A p link can also point to a photo or carousel; its path alone does not establish that it contains a single video.

The current input policy accepts these subtypes, not every kind of Instagram post. Content from private accounts, Stories, photos and multi-item carousels are not guaranteed to be processable. Stories URLs are not allowed entry points, and an item extracted as a collection is rejected. Profiles, live streams and bulk saving are also not accepted.
Why can a viewable Reel still fail to save?
Can a public Reel still require login?
Yes. Viewing it through your signed-in app session does not mean this server can access it anonymously. Login walls, access checks or region restrictions can cause failure. This tool does not bypass login; do not send account credentials.
Why does a p link not return an entire carousel?
This page is for a single video, not a photo or carousel archive. A multi-item post may be extracted as a collection and rejected; individual or bulk export is not promised. Switching to MP3 will not combine the whole post into one file.
Can the Reel’s music always be saved as MP3?
No. MP3 needs an available audio track. Music licensing, a muted source, region rules or unavailable formats may prevent processing. MP4 keeps the video, with sound depending on available tracks. A license to use music inside the platform is not automatically permission to reuse it elsewhere.
Distinguish an Instagram save from a local file
Saving an item inside Instagram is generally an account bookmark, not a file downloaded to your device. Once a task here is ready, select Save file and check the browser downloads list. Complete this within the up-to-1-hour window after readiness.
On iPhone/iPad, check the Files app; on Android, check Downloads; on a computer, check the browser’s download folder. To move it to Photos, verify playback first and use your device’s save option. If an in-app browser cannot save it, try a system browser, but tasks in the original anonymous session may not transfer.
