Get a single-video link from the TikTok app
- Open the video you have permission to download, rather than a creator profile, search result or slideshow.
- Tap Share and look for Copy link. Labels and placement can vary with app version and region. Copy only the URL, not the whole share caption.
- Paste it into this page’s link field. Mobile sharing may give a vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com short link; browser URLs usually contain @username/video/digits. Accepting the entry point does not guarantee that the redirected media is available.
- Confirm your rights and choose MP4 for video or MP3 for sound. Submitting is possible only when the service switch is open. Follow the status and save after the file is ready.
TikTok video URLs, short links and excluded content
These are format placeholder examples, not downloadable samples or evidence of validity, permission or successful testing.
- Single video:

https://vm.tiktok.com/Example123/ - vt:
https://vt.tiktok.com/Example123/
Photo slideshows, Live streams, profiles and bulk downloads are outside the implemented scope. An image-sharing address is not a single-video entry. Even a correctly shaped short link fails if it resolves to a collection or live stream. Public items can still be region-limited, require verification or be blocked by the platform.
A broken short link, or a video with no sound?
What if a vm / vt share link fails?
Check the original video in TikTok and confirm it still exists and is public, then copy that item’s link again. Repeated requests cannot fix expiry, deletion or a redirect to a restricted page. Do not supply login cookies or bypass verification.
Will downloading remove a watermark or improve quality?
There is no verified promise of watermark removal, HD or 4K. MP4 keeps the available video picture; conversion cannot restore detail absent from the source or grant new usage rights.
Why does MP3 not keep the dance footage?
MP3 contains only audio and requires an available audio track. A silent source or one without processable audio will fail. Choose MP4 to keep movement and on-screen captions; sound still depends on the source audio tracks.
Save the TikTok file on a phone or computer
Once ready, select Save file and check the browser’s downloads list first. On iPhone/iPad, look in the Files app’s download location; on Android, check Downloads; on a computer, use the browser’s configured download folder. The exact location depends on the OS and browser.
The file may not appear in Photos automatically. Check playback before using your device’s supported option to save it there. If an in-app browser cannot save files, reopen this page in a system browser, but anonymous tasks are not guaranteed to transfer between browsers. Do not copy someone else’s download URL.
